Community Crime Map

On the Community Crime Map site, you can use a variety of tools to interact with crime data from participating agencies across the country. There is important information to note about this data:

  • Data is based on case reports, not police calls for service. A call for police service may or may not result in a case report and further investigation.
  • Data is uploaded daily
  • Sexual assault crimes are excluded from CSPD’s upload to the system
  • Lexis Nexis® determines the categories and definitions of data
  • It may include CSPD case reports for incidents that are not yet classified as a crime, and may not be, depending on what the investigation finds. Examples of this are “death of undetermined origin” and “incident non-criminal” listed as the crime.
  • Full addresses of occurrence are not included.
